It is hard to believe that our little Coby is 4 years old today! Yesterday, he helped me make a few batches of Rice Krispie Treats (with sprinkles) to bring to school today. Thankfully, he helped me clean up, too! At school, he had the honors of wearing a birthday crown during the birthday festivities. Fortunatley, I was at school today to participate in his birthday fun. To start out, all of the kids are sitting in a huge circle on the floor and Coby gets to stand in the middle of the circle along with his teacher, Miss Beth. Also, inside the circle is a huge picture of the sun and in Coby's hands he gets to hold the Earth. He tells the teacher 4 things he is going to do this year (1. Help Mommy make Rice Krispie Treats, 2. Help Daddy work, 3. Read books and 4. was help Daddy again) Then he gets to march around the sun 4 times as all of the kids sing "The Earth goes around the Sun". When he finished circling the Sun 4 times, they all sang "Happy Birthday" and "How Old Are You Now" which he gladly shouted back "FOUR!" each and everytime. Before it was time to eat their birthday treats, Coby sat in a chair (with his crown still on) and got to call his friends one by one to line up to go to snack. But before they lined up they all had to shake Coby's hand to wish him a Happy Birthday (too cute!!!). They all ran to their Rice Krispie Treat snack and played outside on the playground. It was so cute to see! I wish I took pictures of him going around the sun, but I was able to catch him eating! Enjoy a few pics... I'll post more later!
